yeah, I've looked into it and it seems like a real complicated process. Thats why I wouldn't be comfortable buying a laptop from somewhere like xtreme-notebook or alienhead.

Until amd releases a 64 bit mobile processor at a decent price and with other advantages besides the 64 bits, Intel centrino technology will dominate the mobile market. Intel has also got better publicity. Ask the average computer tech guy and he will tell you intel is better.
