Arthur's Adventure

Post by gtaforever00 »

This is my first attempt to an asm game. It is going to be an arpg. I am not using any construction set. I am coding everything myself. I will post a screenshot once a get a character sprite.

It could be either a self thought up name or arthur as in King Arthur.

Good luck man I wanna see how this turns out. I think he means King Arthur or a made up character because no one wants a game based off the ardvark dude. The Ardvark is like gay he talks funny and uyet my neice loves him

I've know 14 years old who were uncles or aunts... one of my friends, who is 17, has a 19 year old nephew. It just requires that you have a much older sibling.

I learned a lot from Arthur. aardvark is spelled with two "a"'s (i learned that from the episode where arthur enters the spelling bee) :-D

But this game sounds.... well i dont know much about it! An arpg hmm? Theres a french zelda arpg (ask Kevin) which is the best one right now. Try and make it like that and who knows? maybe it will be better!

Is it Arthur as in King Arthur? or just Arthur was the first thing you thought of?

heh, I know a 5 year old that's an aunt. :) I did spell it with two a's. Is it King Arthur? If so, Sir Lancelot pwns all. Make sure he's a playable character. :D

The character is kind of based on King Arthur but isn't the same guy. If anyone is good at making 8x8 character sprites please pm me.

I need to have some peoples choice. Would you rather have 8x8 or 16x16 tiles? If some people could give me their choice on the subject that would help.

16x16 because they are more detailed and easier to see

Depends on what you're doing. Are you using the arpg construction set? That only allows 8x8 tiles. Otherwise, go with 16x16. 8x8 is really too small for my taste, but 16x16 is perfect for rpgs on the 83.

you can have 16x16 tiles made with 4 tiles, but ARPGCS is limited to 64 tiles only I think

I like the 16*16 better. If your really wierd tho, you could try 12*12 but you'd have to write a different sprite engine. :)
