RGP: Revolution Grayscale Package

Post by Jim e »

I proud to annouce my new greyscale package, RGP: Revolution Grayscale Package. <sarcasm>I know that I have been keeping this a secret for quite some time now.</sarcasm> But now I have my own project thread on revsoft. So I'll keep the updates there. So far there is enough complete to release to a few people that already have a project near compeletion that are using ducks GPP. It can currently drop in place of Duck gpp without any porting or equate changing. Theres more info at my thread.

Heres the link:

RGP is perfect for a RPG.

Thanx for the support yall.

Yeah... right. I doubt you could even do the orignal wireframing 89 Space Dementia.

Sure you could. Wire frame for sure. Now filled vector or Textured vector, thats tougher.

At frequency 0 yours take 93% of the processors time.
At frequency 2 yours take 96% of the processors time.
At frequency 6 yours take 69% of the processors time.
My normal version takes 63% of the processors time.
My Faster version takes 60% of the processors time.

Doesn't seem like much but it's making the difference. Plus I've been optimizing all the routines, which really helped out more than I thought, and adding a few of my own. I'm halfway done with a sprite clipping routine right now.

Though I hope peolle realise that the main reason I'm releasing this is to push the SE and not so much a speed gain. The grayscale on the SE is flawless, where as I could only do my best for the 83.

I should update the ZIP, I'll do it in a little bit.

if someone was willing to overclock their 83(84)+(SE) it might could be possible. +5 or +6mhz i possible, that should be able to handle it pretty well. my 84+SE runs desolate on interupt setting 6.
