So, I recently joined the Boise State Robotics Club and am now the Treasurer (the club just started). We are going to build NXT robots! If you are not familiar with these, you can easily look it up in YouTube and tons of awesome videos will come up.

After doing a little fishing, I found a video of a robot. I can't believe how real it looks!

My God! That video was incredible! I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor. I had no idea robotics has come that far.

As incredible as that dog was, did anyone else find it's movement to be a bit creepy? All through that video, I was amazed and a little scared. Something about the way that robot moved freaked me out a bit. Then again, I'm really tired right now, and I already have reason to believe I'm going insane :insane:

That's exactly how I felt. The robot looks 'real'. Like it's alive! It's really creepy...

Impressive, really impressive.

When are they going to minimize that robot to the size of a dog, huh? And run fast as a dog. That would be creepy enough for me.

The same company that did bigdog just released a video of their prototype bipedal robot. Astounding.

Poor thing, will it ever reach the bowling alley?

Wow, these are from Boston Dynamics. Take a look at RHex!

Cool! What's interesting about the RHex is that it's a much simpler design (at least compared to BigDog and Petman), and yet it still has an amazing range of mobility. So that's where our tax dollars go...(after the greedy bankers have had their cut, of course).

And if it does finally get there, what's it going to do? Kick the ball down the lane? :D
