Isn't the dying phenomena something we see every year? Once class opens a million people get a new calc...they get interested and get in to programming it dies out in 10 months and then class closes and opens again and the cycle begins again.

Or is the general community slowely fading away? Could be that there are less calculators being sold or something..

Kozak,

I don't think that less calculators are being sold. At least here in the US, graphing calculators are required for early math courses in high school.

Although, I don't ever recall the community being this stagnant, but thats probably because I just don't have a good memory haha.

perhaps too many games have been made that few care to (learn to) make more?

idk, perhaps a lot of us have just moved on. btw, is there still work on Latenite and Brass?

EH activity always spikes. Some just like to scream "FIRE!!!" in a crowded theater. It'll pick back up eventually like it always does. ^_^

I don't remember it being this quiet in a long time, though.

Soooo, that's why the Vera project is stalling this hard, apart from my own lack of input and time... It's winter in the calculator scene... I hadn't noticed yet because I try not to be a forum regular anywhere anymore... takes too much time and energy ;)

Last year (or was it the year before?) I started talking nonsense about a "summer release spree" and got some people motivated again. Not that the release spree actually happened, but maybe it made the community seem a bit more active? And a bit more dead this year in comparison?

Anyways, back to work... can't afford to start dreaming again this year :)
