Umm I am sure that this is the wrong place to ask such questions but I really dont know where else to ask...

Is there any software that allows me to create programs (like on a calc) but on a computer?

TI BASIC programs? I thought Graph Link does something like that..

But if you're working on the computer anyway, why not learn assembly?

because asm is harder to learn than basic and it is not recommanded to learn asm if you don't know any other programming languages.

and yes, with graphlink you can make ti basic program, although I can't seem to find it on ti's website anymore.

GraphLink software. It's a 16-bit application, so hopefully you're not running a 64-bit OS.

Who says he doesn't know C or something? Or even x86-64 assembly?
z80 assembly isn't that hard though, especially not compared to x86-64 assembly.

Who says he does? :P
If you install GraphLink, make sure you don't install the Black Link cable (at least if you have XP) because you will get some major errors at your next boot up (the Blue Screen of Death :ninja: :dead: )!

he says that he is creating programs on the calc and that he wants a way to do it on the computer. I don't think he has an oncalc assembler without knowing how to compile on the computer.

How do you know he has an oncalc assembler (I assume you are not counting the built in one)? Unless I am missing something, he is most likely talking about an alternative to making all of his Basic programs on his calculator. I wish he would just come back on and confirm this stuff for us. :)

Yea that's what I was talking about ^^^^^^^^^
and I know a bit of most programming, like C and Basic. But I need to work on assembly. I started programming on the calc half a year ago. I do game programming and C+ and C++, so i am not used to programming on a calc :)

Thankz

I remember there was a fancy basic editor lying around on ticalc.org, looking it up now

Stop being afraid of assembly, Kevin. It was a valid question seeing that many people use their PC only for programming assembly, and programming in Basic is much more enjoyable on the calculator.
