OMG! I actually got this letter from Nintendo! See for yourself (It's translated from Dutch, so there might be some grammar mistakes). Don't go OMGfake, I got pictures to prove it!
Dear Maarten Hoek,

We are pleased to inform you that your project for the TI calculators, namely Destiny Realm, has been selected in our search for for a Benelux-exclusive Nintendo DS project, among 9 others.
A special promotion team of Nintendo employees from the Netherlands and Belgium have been searching the internet for several months, and they have found that your project may have the potential we are looking for. The Nintendo DS system lacks a good classic-style RPG, with an epic storyline. Your calculator project is exactly what we are looking for.

That's why we have invited you, and the other selectees, to come to the Nintendo of Benelux headquarters in Nieuwegein, so that you can explain why your project is most fit for the Nintendo DS Portable Gaming system. You don't have to go into details too much, as a lot of those will be decided after the initial procedure. However, it is greatly advised that you think of how your game will be using the special features of the Nintendo DS best, as this is something we as a company are very proud of.

If your project is selected, you will be making your game with a group of experienced programmers and artists, as well as executives to make this game as succesful as possible. More will be told at the selection day in Nieuwegein.

You are expected at the Headquarters one month from now, on May 1st at 12:00. A Nintendo of Benelux employee will be on the train station of Nieuwegein at that time, to escort you and the other selectees to the headquarters. There you will have to present your project to a special jury. Screenshots, movies or other graphical presentations of your game are not required, but they do make a good impression.

With friendly greetings,

Satoru Shibata, Executive Producer of Nintendo Benelux.

Nintendo DS owners beware! (Well not really, it kinda says it's only for Dutchland and Belgonia, but it's still awesome).

I'm so pumped right now O_O.

I attached the pictures, i made some more but uploading takes forever.

The spamming kid is an aprils fool? because this certainly isn't: i called Nintendo and they said it was real. It's their way of getting 'fresh meat' in their company i think.

Whatever, this sort of thing was done last year on april fools and that turned out to be fake. Pictures and everything. That letter seems fishy. I'll believe it when I see the games in the store.

I didn't find it very funny, but that's just me.
Gotta' love the slashdot jokes, though. I mean, "Python on planes"?! Whoever thought of that is awesome.

Exactly. Do like I did with the lightning story and do such pranks on a random day. It's much more efficient that way. ;)
