Ammo boxes look a lot like the table from Link's Awakening. The one next to Richard.

Your cobblestone-y floors look a lot like some of Spencer's tiles.

Cobblestone does kinda look like spencers...but I don't really care that much. Sounds great, keep us posted Halifax!

Who is to say the cobblestone wasn't also stolen by spencer, and this is just a chain or variety of 'stealing'? Why does it matter when he's got an engine that uses the graphics he's got? It doesn't need to be bashfest here..

Ok just to end this discussion. I found this tile out of a basic TI 89 RPG on ticalc.org. Another note. I have done some research and it appears that ever Zelda game on ticalc.org uses this cobblestone sprite, so as DarkAuron said it is a chain of stealing from the original Zelda that was made by no TI Community member.

I was just pointing out that they weren't your tiles to restrict usage of.

Does anyone else remember that song "Under Pressure" by Queen? Vanilla Ice sampled it in "Ice Ice Baby" back when I was in like 1st or 2nd grade and it went straight to #1. He only changed the bassline by a single note, yet had this weird attitude about flaunting it like it was an original beat. Even though the hit still topped the charts in '91, the insincerities & lack credit-giving contributed to the fall of his public image.

That out of the way, I like the Massacre story. (Looking forward to seeing the chainsaw carnage implemented on-calc especially). I know pretty soon, we're going to see less of Harry Potter + Zelda, and more of Massacre right? 8)

Yeah of course ;) I just didn't want to write the routines to work with an aligned tilemapper if I knew that I was going to switch to a smoothscrolling tilemap. And Harry Potter is gone already I have the main sprite for The Massacre done courtesy of MadSkillz and his Mad Spriting Skills

That's cool then. I remember liking how Little Dude 2.0 implemented grenades and a freeze ray nicely. Now I gotta see an on-calc chainsaw!

Is it gonna be real time combat (as in combat is on the map) or turn based?

Wow, real time chainsaw combat would be awsome. I can't wait to see the finished game.

I still want a first-person mode damnit!
It's hard to beat the chainsaw action in the original doom.
I'm impressed. Good work!
I think, therefore iMac
