NTetris

Instead of playing a regular, standard game of tetris, why not use tetris as a tool? Yeah, clearing lines is so.. great. What if you used line-clearing as a tool.. as a way to play a puzzle game that's outside the tetris game, yet still on the same screen? See below for an example.

Erm, what exactly is it doing on the outside? It's going too fast for me to make out on this passive-matrix LCD (I'm using my old powerbook).

Whenever a line goes away, it clears the stuff on either side. However, this serves no discernible purpose and makes me wonder what DarkAuron is talking about.

Well the colours change on the outside when you clear a line ... if they match up vertically they disappear and fall down.
Its a neat little idea, would make Tetris different.

Yeah, I wondered aswell, but now that you mention it, tr1p, it seems like a very intresting concept to me

Almost definitely. Though different patterns on the blocks would be easier than different shapes.

It would be cool to see a GS tetris game, either 4 or 8 level GS (4 would be fine). That would be awesome!
