TASM on calc. Has anyone tried it?

Post by CompWiz »

A while back I noticed that someone had ported tasm to calculator so you can write asm programs right on your calculator. Has anyone tried this out? Any thoughts? Would there be any way to use the ti83plus.inc with this?

It's fun, but developing software on a 96x64 pixel screen sounds like a bad idea :)

It would come in handy if you were going away on a long vacation with no access to a computer for a while i suppose. Cant image too many scenarios like that though.

why can't it be included? The file is small enough to fit on calc, isn't it?

Isn't it > 200K? Not really calc-friendly sized.
I much prefer developing assembly on my PC - I really cannot see the attraction of writing assembly progs on your calculator.

It's 122kb. And even if it was over 200kb, even full of games and apps, my 84+SE has enough room left.

as for computer over calc, well, I always have a calculator with me, in school, on the bus, etc... My computer's rather bulky, and you try carrying a monster 21" CRT screen around. :P

It'd be cool if you could assemble ASM programs on your cell phone.

edit: and then send it to the calc
