Selling Ti-Calculator Games, programs, etc...on a CD!!!!!

Post by lloydkirk1989 »

I came upon this site while searching for some ti-calculator sites, when I came upon this http://www.infocdshop.com/new_page_42.htm. Check it out for yourself. Its actually a pretty good sales job for some unknowledgable person, but I don't think I would be willing to pay $10 for some calculator games. .....Hmmm maybe I should do something like that ....... :D

just kidding...

You know your hexadecimal output routine is broken when it displays the character 'G'.

And the famous unfinished Death Rally. Strictly for people who can't use wget alone... This must be a really outdated mirror, it doesn't have sigma's tutorial listed.

How professional. Look at the email on the bottom of the page, then click it.
Different emails? Wow!

They responded yet, Koz?
How annoying...
Is that even legal? I mean, we put our programs up on ticalc.org and other places get them as well, so...

Hmm, I would not pay for a CD that contain mostly text game or games that are not for my calc, especially if I can find them at ticalc.org

Two games of me in there. Nibbles Carmageddon and The Chosen demo 1. I feel I shouldnt care, but somehow it does not feel right that someone sells my work without asking permission.

Yeah, I'm the same way, Duck. I probably wouldn't mind if he'd at least ASK...same with when TI did the CD thing...
Then again, no one asks me when they download it from TI themselves...

Still, they're selling MY work without any kind of acknowledgment towards me, I bet...

Well...they didn't put any of my first n00bish attempts at ASM games(Which both got good reviews) on there. So I could care less. However, I do not think it is right for them to release a cd. On the internet, at an attempt to make money off of games that their creators made for free and for general use on the TI brand of calcs. They are basically taking your work and often hardwork, that you gave out for free, and are turning around and selling it for cash. Not only is this illegal, it is morally wrong! I will be sending my e:mail to these jerk-offs as soon as I am done with this!

It would be like if all of a sudden, Ticalc.org decided that the only way you could get a program/game from them would be to pay a fee...but the programs/games they would be sellng would be the ones that we gave them for free, in hopes to better the community! Be it educational or for entertainment! That my folks would be stealing...taking another person's property without their permission.

By the way, I was scrolling through some of the files supposedly on this disk...about a guarter of the page through is the 83+ mirage games...I have never heard of "dbzquest.zip". I checked it in the Ticalc.org archives and there is no such file as that in the Mirage section. Thus they are also selling false products! Also...why wouldn't Firetrack 2 be on this cd!?
