Just wanted to let people know that TI-FreakWare, Cemetech, and The BASIC Elite are working on something we're calling the TI BASIC Book.

Shouldn't that read "TI-FreakWare and The BASIC Elite"? I thought Cemetech was part of the BASIC Elite?

We are also working on a ERR:FAQ :) (My idea, btw...) Find posts at: http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic ... 3260#23260

So far, it is fairly basic stuff...

why have different's wiki, when we could use one central wiki? I don't see the point to be honest. I would be much wiser to "merge" with the current wiki

I've made a stub about the history of the TI Z80 community. It's a stone soup, so feel free to contribute :)

Excellent work GuillaumeH, we will have to write up a nice history of MaxCoderz and place it in there as well :).

I've just seen the list of the most downloaded programs on ticalc ...
It's a little sad, some of the most downloaded programs are those who have a name that is already know by people (Tetris, Doom...) , with no consideration about the quality of the programs.
It would be great to have a kind of "notable/best programs" page on WikiTi. It would be a guide for new users who want to try games on their calculator without having to scan all the mediocrity out there on ticalc, and also a kind of hommage to the best programs created since the beginning of the community. What do you think ?

Yeah I think I'm going to have to try to touch base with Dan to get that active. Pretty sure it needs a change in one of the .php files and I don't know if I have the FTP info anymore. =/

Well, back a while I started a topic here to try to get a list of all the best calculator games(for the 83/84 series). We covered a lot of programs, but then it just kind of died off. I was hoping to achieve a similar goal: introducing people to lesser known games that may very well be better than the more popular games that everyone knows about. Hopefully you'll have more luck keeping it going, and finding some great hidden gems in the calc programs world. :)
