So with all your optimizations to the old code how much in file size will you gain?

actually, so far, nothing significant. most of the space i'd freed up was taken up by the cleaning up of the code. the routines are much more optimized, but not all that smaller. that's phase 2

I like finding old and embarassing code in some of the older stuff i wrote. Really makes you slap yourself and wonder what on earth you were thinking back then

i believe i was thinking 'i wanna get this damn game done so i can be done with calc programming once and for all' so i got sloppy with the code :/

then my game got popular and I started to feel ashamed. but, now that i'm actually TRYING to make a decent game, I think I have a chance to redeem myself.

actually, no. I've got a full time job now as a network programmer and it's 8am-5pm M-F and it's on the other side of town, so it's more like 7:30-6pm and then i have to go to bed at 10pm to make sure i'm rested for the following day (it's not helping ;_;), so I have little time and desire to work on damn near anything. My comic, my games, hell I'm just zoning out in front of the TV or computer doing next to nothing before I go to bed. Maybe once I get used to it I'll be able to through significant other stuff in there, but I'm wanting to get back into college as well, so that'll probably kill whatever freetime I have left next semester.

Okay, block of text over...

Short answer, no. ^^' I think I stopped when I was trying to figure out how to "acquire" the Hyper Arts in game as well as drawing the sprites for 'em.

yeah, right now i'm on a probationary period of 90 days (down to about 80 now, i guess) and i'm makin $11.75/hr. If I make it through that probationary period, I'll get a pay raise PLUS full health AND dental for about $500/year, i can choose to take my day off and get paid for it though that sucks cuz my b-day was last friday, i get all major holidays off, if the last month's sales were higher than the median of the previous 3 months then everyone gets a $100 bonus on their pay check, and this one dude is even getting an all expenses paid trip to new york (though he's gotta pay for his wife) for a conference there and gets to stay in the hilton (or is it the hotel royale? i dunno) at the end of this month. yeah, it's a pretty sweet job

however, they DID get pissed off at me for buying stuff for work. a mouse pad and notebook. they even reimbursed me for it and told me that if i needed something for work, just ask 'em! they got me this wireless mouse that is so awesome i bought one for home
