FBF is a game that we have all been watching very closely for a while. Justin is working on it again which is great news! If you are heading to UTI i suggest checking out the Sonic thread as well :).

How does one typically go about making good sprites? I keep trying to make good 16x16 4level GS sprites, but they just keep looking horrible.

8x8 black and white one look just as bad. :(

well, don't ask, that's just something some of us can do, personally, having a picture of the object I'm drawing helps ALOT. what're you trying to draw?

I was looking at the options, and 3 answers don't cover it

GFX
Sprites
size
good controls
good storyline

Actually, the most helpful thing for me now is if I could make a 8wx16h black and white version of my avatar. I'd prefer full body, but I'm looking for this overall likeness. It should have the same aura of personality that my avatar sends out.

I'd also appreciate it if somebody could make a 16x16 4level greyscale version of the avatar. A full body pic can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/calcul831415/thePsion.jpg

Call me shallow, but a sure-fire way to win me over is graphics. It doesn't matter if your storyline was written by Steven King--if the layout is incomprehensible, my interest level drops faster than a cheerleader on prom night. (Hi-ooo!) Dying Eyes was a great RPG, but the graphics and unexplained symbols in the battle engine turned into a major stumbling block. That's where I stand anyway.

I wish I was a better sprite artist though.

And too bad gs doesn't look as good on the 83+ comopared to the 89, I think.

Well, I don't think graphics ever have to be too high-end; just enough for real clarity.

So Desolate is high end? I think so, and Auras' graphics would be highend imo also.

Oh, sorry if this offends anyone but I haven't seen Aura's graphics. How's about hooking me up with the eyecandy on that one?
