Super Mario 3 - 68K

Post by tifreak8x »

Lachprog, one of TI-Freakware's current 68k programmers, is remaking Super Mario 3 for the 89. There has been a couple demos of the game, and there are some really sweet screen shots available here. He wants all to try this amazing project, and let him know of any bugs that are found on the forum, link on his project page.

His project homepage

There, you will find info about the game, screenshots, the latest available version, and his subforum link, so you can either give suggestions, or give encouragement. :)

The gameplay itself is superb. :D

One really cool feature is the scrolling background that seems to scroll differently than the foreground, but it could be the same...

Now if only someone would take on the mario project from where Duck left off, we could have something at least somewhat close to this game.

Hrm, I think mario needs to be able to jump higher. The screen needs to be centered on mario more too. I can't see what I'm walking into. :o How come I can't kill enemies when I'm small? :?

Yes, this was just implemented, and will be available in the next release.
