I use http://overclockers.co.uk/ , but they have a fairly exciting attitude to packaging.

You can run anything but the latest graphics intensive programs on old hardware without much pain.

Not with 256MB of RAM on a 20GB hard drive. You can run maybe one or two programs at a time without massive swapping, unless you plan on using Win2K or earlier, Linux, or you turn themes off in XP.

My video card came in a jiffy bag (the carboard box inside was crushed, but the card was fine) and my DVDRW drive came in a box that was really tall and too short, so the box was bulging at the ends and just held together with tape. The drive (being OEM) didn't have any other packaging.
However, if you alert them within 48 hours that your goods have been crushed (as worded on the site!) then they'll replace them.

That is really good.

Well really, its is a nice computer for actually $220 dollars, since I'm buying 512Mb ram. I have a graphics card, win2k, cdrom drive. the only thing I'm buying is a motherboard, processor (Athlon Xp 2600+, 2.08 Ghz!!), harddrive, and case, and 512Mb ram. Well maybe that isn't a full computer... :? :?

The only thing that is crap is the motherboard
Newegg

I'm broke so I have to find the cheapest parts as of now. Maybe in a few months I can buy a better motherboard.

*cough*Abit NF7*cough*

See if someone will order things for you from newegg have it shipped to them and then they can ship the parts to you... :D :D I would be willing but it depends on where you live, you can use Paypal right?

Meaning, no games.

Dark Auron: That's great! Now you can play all the cool new games. :D I must admit, I haven't played UT in a very long time. :o That was a pretty fun game. I'll be playing it again during the school year though, as that is the game we have installed on the computers there. :) On morrowind, you probably want to up the resolution a bit. That screenie looked kinda pixely. ;) Yes, the Radeon 9600 is most definitely a pretty good gfx card. (and now you can run the Dr. Snipe games at full fps too! 8) )

Funny, that, I only have a debit card and PayPal seems to work quite happily with it... :) As does Amazon or Play.
