I SO did not see that until this was posted :O. But then, now that I DO see it, I don't think that it could really be made any better. *sigh* there's only so much one can do with 16*16 black and white. :P I could probably get it if I knew the context though. ie if she is saying something and moving around or the storyline says something about it.

yeah seeing him through the fence would be way too hard to do

unless dysfie know a fast way to do it
As a matter of fact, I do... Simply OR the fence sprite over the character (in Omnicalc OR is sprite type 3- the optional last argument). The black pixels of the fence will be drawn over the character, but the character will show through the white pixels. :D

I don't want the fence to be transparent unless I coul make it greyscale

I agree, it would look gross, I ws just saying you could do it. However, for something like windows it would be great...

Ok, all this sprite stuff is kinda cofusing me, what is OR and XOR sprite drawing...

OR use the Pxl-On logic (pixels is turned ON) and XOR use the Pxl-Change logic (pixels are inverted), just some ASM stuff. I don't remember but I think that in the Asm in 28 days there was other methods too like AND and masked

Wow, how stupidly simple... Why didn't I just think before asking...

Kevin got it basically right- any of these logic gates take two values (each one can be true or false- true is black, white is false). With OR, if one value is black and the other is white, it outputs black, if both are black it outputs black, and if both are white it outputs white. With XOR if one value is black and the other is white it comes out black, if both values are white it comes out white, and if both values are black it comes out white. With AND if both values are white it comes out white, if one vlue is black and the other white it comes out white, and if both values are black it comes out black. For masking, you want to either OR or AND the mask, then XOR the sprite. The difference is that if you OR the mask, the sprite must be inverted.
