Would black metal be black metal without brutality? No. That doesn't mean brutality is necessary to make good metal. Anyways if it's good, then it's good, gore or no.

well, the thing is though...if you take metal in the opposite direct you get that christian travesty...so, would you want a story to be filled with ponies and pink clouds and bishon friezes and ambling (which I nominated for most immasculating word that people randomly interject) and fairy princesses? Hmm, or maybe sex, drugs, pain, violence, cursing and death would be a bit more forceful...

Yeah i suppose, those who are not 'tough' enough to look at gory pictures and be completely desencitised must have something wrong with them.

Some people might take offense to the content in this thread, especially when there is such a descriptive thread name <sarcasm>.
