I was wondering if there are any programs that allow you to code BASIC on the comp (windows)

If you mean BASIC for the calcs, as I assume you do, go here to get TI-GRAPH LINK. It will allow you to edit BASIC programs on your computer.

You can still use GraphLink to edit programs, but you'll still need TI-Connect to send the files to the calculator.

I installed it, but it won't run. When I try to install it from my TICD, it says it requires 3MB of free virtual RAM or something.

Sorry for the triple post, but how would I get GRAPH LINK to work with XP, or is there another program?

Wait, let me get this straight. You have a gig of ram and almost 4 gigs of swap? WTF are you smoking? You can (almost) get away with NO swap. I would actually let Windows manage the swap size for you, most of the time you won't even have a pagefile.sys then.

I've tried no/little swap, it won't run. Anyway, "how would I get GRAPH LINK to work with XP, or is there another program?"

It should Just Work(tm). It does for me at any rate.

At any rate, you shouldn't need more than a gig of swap if you have a gig of ram. I have 512MB of RAM and only 768MB of swap, and I never get any out of memory errors.

No no, it's fine. I have GRAPH LINK, I'm just stating that it won't even start, let alone run.
