That is actually believable. To shut off the aging process would be the greatest feat biochemistry or genetics have ever done. Of course you deal with ethics... And the FDA... And production costs... damn this world sucks why bother to be immortal?

Well, I just glued to magnets to my forehead, so I must be immortal. I'm gonna test my immortality out by sticking my head into a microwave and turning it on full power for ten minutes (it cooks from the inside out you know).

it might not make you immortal, but it will still save your life from someone throwing iron fillings at you!

Lets face it, how exactly is a bunch of magnets gonna save you if a car crashes into you?

*Ding* I'm still alive! :excited:
But the magnets are broken now, I guess thats why they say not to stick metal into the microwave.

To be honest I think ceramic super conductors would work better if at all.

not to say, even did if you stop aging *laughs histerically*, you are still losing hundreds of brain cells each day... (brain cells don't reproduce) thus you would die from brain damage. Image > :puzzled: > Image > Image

so shouldnt we just let nature do its job and kill us at the right time? Would suck to be on this planet for eternity.

The body is able to produce new brain cells nonetheless. And who sais we can't live with less brain cells

The body can reproduce new cells, maybe some brain cells, but the fact is that after a certain age the reproduction rate falls below the that lost each day.

If people did become immortal would that mean no one could have kids because of the over-population issues (no one is dying to even it out)

Besides who needs magnets when the secret to immortality is so simple? *Mystic voice from the void*
