There are 8-level greyscale programs for the 83+.
Is there a lot of difference between 7 and 8 scale?

Anyways, this is AMAZING. I'm showing all my friends at school!

68K calcs need people like jim e to come up with better grayscale routines. grayscale even 4 color is flickery on my 89Ti. Anyone know why TI changed the way the LCD works? all you used to have to do is ouput the address for lthhe lcd to read now you have to be swapping buffers around. i tend to think 68K calcs haven't nearly the optomization as Z80 ones. Maybe I should learn 68K ASM and do it myself...

Lazy programmers and a C compiler. 'nuff said. ASM is really the only viable way to do anything slick on low end hardware like the TI calcs.

The left and right parts of the screen flicker a bit when I view the pictures.
Still cool though.

Mine's effed up.

My calculator is a whore. All my friends use it for games.

It gets dropped, wet, batteries get wasted, sat on, kicked, etc.

Same with me, I think it has something to do with how he uses the contrast.

No not that, He controls the contrast in his program but I think he does at every screen update, so he's not giving enough time for se. Hence the mess up.

*embarased*....I've dropped mine on concrete....a few times *hides under table crying*.
Very durable, no breaking, no rattling even after that. On the 84+SE the screen is hard to break from a drop. It has a .25 cm peice of some metal under the LCD...
