Yup, it emulates contrast perfectly. And on the real hardware black isn't really black either.
I shouldn't be showing this, but it's just too cool not to show:![Razz :P](./images/smilies/grayscale_grin.gif)

It's more clear in the emulator than in the screenshot that the interrupt frequency really influences the quality of the greyscale (the ammount of annoying diagonal lines that is), which proves that interrupts are emulated properly. And obviously setting the contrast is emulated perfectly too. Seeing PindurTI do this made me fall in love with it![Smile :)](./images/smilies/grayscale_smile.gif)

Noooooo ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/grayscale_grin.gif)
I knew I shouldn't have posted that![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/grayscale_wink.gif)
Edit: Oh, by the way, to be clear: this is the normal Ti-83 version, and not the VTI version of a game that uses Duck's greyscale package.

WOW it look so sweet! But plz do us a favor, dont show an in game aniamated screenshot, to ruin the surprise
Should I put The Core of Light in my project section of my RPG website without the screenshot?
as for emulation, I can even see the scanlines in the gray area, they are really really hard to see but I can see them, it's almost like on calc, but in black and white instead of brown and green![Surprised :o](./images/smilies/grayscale_shocked_surprised.gif)

Ehm, yeah... Focus on how incredibly realistic it's being emulated, people... I never posted that screenshot, nor will I post any other screenshot ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/grayscale_wink.gif)
But if you would happen to make an in-game menu similar to this one, giving me a bit of credit for the idea would be appreciated![Smile :)](./images/smilies/grayscale_smile.gif)

And screenshotting both calculators is a good idea indeed, I think.
I think I'm going to uninstall VTI, just to make a statement![Razz :P](./images/smilies/grayscale_grin.gif)

If you want to, go ahead, as long as you don't link to that website that wasn't supposed to be found, or to this screenshotShould I put The Core of Light in my project section of my RPG website without the screenshot?

I modified Duck's GS package a little for Repton so that when you select the interrupt frequency in game you can adjust the calc's contrast with + and -... I don't know why he didn't put that in himself!tr1p1ea wrote:Wow that is crazy! That is actually a great idea to have an options menu like that in-game.

As far as I can remember, Repton reads the system contrast value and whenever you adjust the contrast inside Repton it writes back to the system contrast value. As far as too much code, it could probably be done in about 10 lines of ASM (or less).Duck wrote:Well I thought about doing it, made the feature once but I think I let it out because it added too much code, and I couldnt manage to let the contrast level be set back correctly after program shutdown. I dont like programs that mess with my contrast.
